After two years of hard work, the Nouvelle Scène Gilles Desjardins finally opens its doors in January 2016! This new Nouvelle Scène is much larger than the old one, growing from 13,000 square feet to 26,000 in the interval. It also offers a bar, courtyard, and rehearsal studio, not to mention two performance halls which can accommodate audiences of 173 and 80, respectively. The Nouvelle Scène’s new name honours Franco-Ontarian businessman Gilles Desjardins, a partner in the project. The new facility is officially inaugurated on May 28, 2016.
