“Je rêve Ottawa” [I’m dreaming Ottawa] is the slogan which launches the États généraux sur la francophonie d’Ottawa in the summer of 2011. Some thirty citizen cafés, where Francophones can share their dreams for the future, are held throughout the city. The Summit, held in November 2012, mobilizes some 150 participants at the University of Ottawa. The Movement for an officially bilingual Capital of Canada is created following this event.
