Vanier for a final resting place

When the City of Ottawa closes its Lowertown and Sandy Hill cemeteries, the Catholics retreat to Vanier for their final resting place. Notre-Dame Cemetery is consecrated in 1872 and it is still the largest Catholic Cemetery in Ottawa. Prominent Francophones are resting here.
