The Ordre de Jacques-Cartier is said to have had decisive influence on several issues, including bilingualism on Canada’s postage stamps and banknotes, the creation of a flag for Canada and Quebec, Canada’s national anthem, Radio-Canada’s French-language radio from Halifax to the Rockies and French-language services at Bell Canada. But this influence remains difficult to prove.
